Dual-Purpose Filtration for Clear Water
The hygger aquarium filter media serves a dual purpose, capturing fine particles for mechanical filtration and nurturing beneficial bacteria for biological filtration.
Premium Ceramic Bio Media
These high-quality ceramic blocks feature thousands of tiny, porous holes, offering an expansive surface area for biofiltration and ensuring water clarity.
Crystal Clear Water
Effectively absorbs fish waste and debris, creating crystal clear water that promotes a healthy and thriving aquatic environment.
40-Pack Ceramic Blocks
Each block measures 6.2 inches in length and 1.5 inches in diameter and weighs approximately 90 grams. The package contains 40 ceramic blocks, totaling around 7.9 pounds.
Versatile Application
These blocks can be broken down into any size required, making them ideal for use in freshwater aquariums, planted tanks, sumps, and ponds. Please note that they are not recommended for saltwater aquariums.
Usage Tips
Step 1:Gently rinse the bio-filtration media with clean water from your tank without rubbing, and then soak the media in clean tank water for several hours to prepare it for use.
Step 2:Position the filter media at the final stage of your filtration system within your pond or tank. Add a nitrifying bacteria solution and place a cotton filter material in front of the bio-filtration media to enhance the filtration process.
Step 3:Periodically clean some parts of the filter media using water from the tank. It is recommended to clean the filter media once a month to maintain optimal performance.
Step 4: As the media ages, replace portions of it gradually rather than all at once. We suggest partial replacement every 3 to 5 months to sustain the health of your filtration system.

I bought these for my 300 gal garden pond. Packing did its job, none were cracked or broken. I’ve tried various types of media. Like this style the best: it’s large surface is easy to pack /organize in my bio filter, theses tons of surface area for the bio bugs to take up residence, can be broken to fit if needed. I’ll never buy the little style media again. Decent price for the quality. Highly recommend
Shipped fast, great quality, not a single one broken. Perfect for my sump with plenty left over.
